ENGINEERING

Designed with cutting-edge CAD and FEA, all structural parts are precision-cut using CNC laser technology from stainless steel, providing a strong, stiff, compact, and durable foundation. Mathematical models guide the design, predicting with remarkable accuracy how each pedal feels in every possible configuration. Design tolerances have been optimized to minimize play in every assembly. Key pivot points feature slide bearings and undergo automated durability testing, ensuring functionality after a million duty cycles.

The custom-made brake elastomers provide a realistic progressive feel, retaining their as-new characteristics even after enduring thousands of races. The bespoke hydraulic dampers of the Sim Pedals Ultimate are ultra-reliable and require no periodic maintenance. Even in the unlikely event of a failure, the pedal retains its basic functionality as the sensors are separated from the hydraulic circuit.

SENSORS & OUTPUT

The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ load cell assemblies offer true linear input measurement of throttle, clutch position, and brake force. Unmatched in accuracy and durability, these load cells do not wear over time. Heusinkveld proprietary electronics deliver a full-range 12-bit output for each pedal, allowing customization of output curves through the Heusinkveld SmartControl software.

COMPONENTS

Throttle: Smooth, accurate, and highly adjustable, the throttle pedal provides excellent control with customizable travel, spring preload, and resistance. A 1-way hydraulic damper resists speed during the ingoing stroke, contributing to smooth throttle application. A load cell ensures true linear input measurement of the pedal position, with custom non-linear output curves configurable through the Heusinkveld SmartControl software.

Brake: Featuring a realistic dual-stage brake system with a 200kg load cell, the brake pedal handles actual forces up to 140kg. The adjustable coil spring simulates the initial pad-to-disc gap. Custom-made injection-molded thermoset elastomers offer a progressive brake resistance akin to real race cars. You can choose from nine possible resistance settings, allowing a pedal feel from very soft to extremely stiff. The brake also features a 2-way hydraulic damper with adjustable damping.

Clutch: The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ clutch features a regressive spring mechanism simulating a concave force curve. It allows for extensive adjustment of pedal resistance, travel, and feel. The clutch incorporates a 2-way hydraulic damper with adjustable damping. A load cell provides a true linear input measurement of the pedal position, and custom non-linear output curves can be configured using Heusinkveld SmartControl software.

Electronics: The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ utilize a custom-made 12-bit USB controller, seamlessly working with Heusinkveld SmartControl software. After calibration, each pedal provides an output signal using the full 12-bit range, ensuring instant and accurate output to your preferred simulator software. The controller enclosure is made of steel and equipped with four mounting holes for easy installation, suitable for mounting to the optional Sim Pedals Ultimate+ Baseplate. The pedals have undergone full EMC compliance testing, ensuring a stable output signal regardless of other electronic components used in your simulator.

SMARTCONTROL

The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ come with the powerful SmartControl configuration tool, enabling unprecedented customization of pedal output curves, deadzones, and brake pedal force. Working in synergy with all-new electronics, SmartControl allows for instant mapping of (non-linear) pedal output curves without the need for recalibration, including for iRacing. All settings can be saved into profiles for easy loading.

Mapping Pedal Output Curves: SmartControl allows you to set custom signal output maps per pedal, breaking away from the traditional one-on-one sensitivity. You can map non-linear output curves using five zones and six input parameters. Each pedal has a Curve Type pull-down menu with pre-defined output curves. Alternatively, you can create a custom curve, manually setting the desired pedal output percentage for each zone.

Deadzones and Brake Force Adjustment: SmartControl offers quick and easy adjustment of pedal deadzones, with visual and real-time feedback on the effect of these changes. Additionally, the required brake force to achieve 100% brake output in your simulator can be finely adjusted with just a few mouse clicks.

Profiles: Support for an unlimited number of profiles within SmartControl allows for easy saving and loading of configurations. Since profile data is saved relative to your calibration values, pedal profiles can be exchanged between Sim Pedals Ultimate+ owners.

Calibration Wizard: Sim Pedals Ultimate+ come pre-calibrated during assembly and can be used as plug-and-play devices. All adjustments in SmartControl can be made without the need for recalibration. However, should recalibration be necessary (for example, after making certain mechanical adjustments), SmartControl provides an easy-to-follow calibration wizard.

WARRANTY

Heusinkveld offers a 24-month warranty starting from the date of delivery. Repairs and/or replacement deliveries do not extend the warranty period. The warranty covers the remedy of defects free of charge within a reasonable period, either by repairing or replacing the products and/or parts in question. The products and/or parts replaced become the property of Heusinkveld. The warranty does not include further rights to compensation from Heusinkveld.
